The Quyon Flyers won 6-1 over West Carleton Electric at the annual "Harbour Days" game in Fitzroy Harbour on Thursday night Greater Ottawa Fastball League play.Trevor Lahey had the win, allowing only two hits. Andy Barber took the loss.
The Flyers got on the board in the top of the first - Matt Greer singled and Joe McCleary hit a shot to make it 2-0.
West Carleton responded in the bottom of the first with a solo homer by Barton. However, following that Lahey threw an excellent game, allowing only an infield hit in the next six innings.
The Flyers other runs were scored on a Greer solo homer in the third, a misplayed fly ball in the fifth that scored Greer who had singled earlier in the inning, and a two run shot by McCleary in the seventh.
